Over nearly four decades, they built a virtually complete collection of every pre-1965 US copper, nickel, and silver coin ever struck. Like a finely bound book, this collection offers a tangible piece for every chapter of American history. The collection was brought to us 99% raw, ungraded, and untouched for many years. All coins listed are authentic and guaranteed genuine. Due to time and expense only a portion of the collection was sent to Numismatic Guaranty Corporation (NGC) and Independent Coins Graders (ICG) for grading. Event Schedule
Prologue (July 7th 7PM CST)– A humble beginning to the story. An introductory glance at the breadth of The Lampasas Collection. Dozens of better dates and high-grade examples are on display, but this is just a taste. A sip from what is to come. We look forward to reuniting with the hundreds of old friends who bid at our past auctions and meeting many meeting more.
Part One (July 18th 2PM CST)– The crescendo. A true look at what’s been quietly secreted away for decades. Over 200 lots including mint state Liberty (V) Nickels, Buffalo Nickels, Morgan Dollars, Walking Liberty Halves, Classic Silver Commemoratives, Indian Head Cents, Gold Dollars, Barber Dimes, Barber Halves and so much more. Most are better/key date, high-grade and many both! The music rises. The tempo increases. As the auction continues many amazing RPDs, RPMs, MPDs and other tough varieties across all types are offered. At the auction’s peak action several of The Lampasas Collection’s complete date set of Seated Liberty Dollars take their place on stage. Joined by some of collection’s best date (1894, 1890-CC, 1903-S) Morgans, Seated and Bust Halves. While they are the stars of the performance, they are not the only players.
